Have you ever tried to map a custom field in the Lead record to a standard field in either the Account, Contact or Deal record, but the matching field you want is not presented as a choice?
The first thing to check is that the both fields are of the same type. For example, if the field you are trying to map is a ‘Single Line’ field, then only the Single Line fields in the target Module will be shown as options in the Lead Conversion Mapping Screen.
In the case of a Single Line field type, there is one more factor that can preclude a field from not being shown as an option – the field length. Make sure the allowable length of the field you are mapping is less than or equal to the field you want to map it to.
